Sashiko Pattern Grid

A free sashiko grid template in three versions. The hitomezashi grid has 1/4 inch squares for running-stitch patterns. The diagonal grid has 1/2 inch squares crossed by diagonals, and the triangle grid has 1/2 inch triangles for asanoha (hemp leaf) and kikko (tortoise shell). Plan a pattern on paper, then transfer the lines to your fabric.
