This Privacy Policy explains what information the Rock Paper Print website collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and collect as little as we can.
Who we are
The site is run by Rock Paper Print (“we”, “us”). For anything about your privacy, email [email protected].
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for protecting personal information at Rock Paper Print. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and sheets people use, so we can improve the site. It uses cookies to count visits and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We use Google’s consent mode: in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, Switzerland and Quebec, analytics cookies stay off until you consent. Without consent, Google Analytics receives only cookieless, anonymous counts, which cannot identify you.
Advertising
The site is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure how they perform and prevent fraud. Depending on your choices and where you are, these ads may be personalized (based on your interests) or non-personalized (based on the page you’re viewing). You can read more in Google’s How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and change your ad preferences in Google’s ad settings.
Download protection
Our download system does not store personal data. It keeps aggregate download counts per sheet, and short-lived rate-limit records keyed by a scrambled (hashed) IP address, which expire within an hour. These records stop automated bulk downloading.
Server and security logs
Our hosting provider and Cloudflare process IP addresses and request data (such as the page requested, time, browser and referring page) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Contact form
If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. We use them only to reply to you. The message is stored in our site admin for 12 months and then deleted automatically, and a copy is emailed to our inbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail). Spam protection runs on our own server; it uses no cookies and no third-party service.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to deal with your request.
What we don’t do
- Fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page makes no requests to a third-party font service.
- There are no user accounts and no newsletter.
- We don’t sell your information for money.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. These are the main cookies you may find on this site:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Analytics: tells visits apart and keeps session state, so we can count visitors and page views. |
__gads, __gpi, __eoi | Google AdSense | Advertising: shows ads, limits how often you see the same ad, measures ad performance and helps prevent fraud. |
IDE and other Google ad cookies | Advertising: used to show and measure ads, including personalized ads where you allow them. | |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Security: helps tell people from bots. Strictly necessary; expires after 30 minutes. |
This list can change as Google and our other providers update their products.
Your choices
- No cookies without consent: in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Quebec, analytics and advertising cookies are off by default. Nothing that needs your consent runs unless you give it.
- Privacy choices link: once ads are live, a “Privacy choices” link in the site footer lets you reopen your settings and change them at any time.
- Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Google ad settings: you can turn off ad personalization in Google’s ad settings.
Your rights
EEA and UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your data protection supervisory authority.
Canada, including Quebec: you have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw your consent.
US states: residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and other states with similar laws have the right to know what personal information we collect, and to delete and correct it. We don’t sell personal information for money, but letting ad partners like Google use cookies for targeted advertising may count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under these laws. You can opt out through the Privacy choices link, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where supported.
How to make a request: email [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. We won’t discriminate against anyone for using their privacy rights.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
- Consent for analytics and advertising cookies.
- Legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and running (server logs, bot protection, download limits) and for answering your emails and contact form messages.
International transfers
Our providers, such as Google and Cloudflare, may process data in the United States and other countries. They protect transfers with their own safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data
- Emails: until your request is resolved, plus a reasonable period in case you write again.
- Contact form messages: 12 months in our site admin, then deleted automatically. The copy in our inbox is kept like other emails.
- Analytics: 14 months, the retention period set in Google Analytics.
- Rate-limit records: less than an hour.
- Server and security logs: as set by our hosting provider and Cloudflare.
Children
The site is for adults, such as teachers, parents and homeschoolers, and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has contacted us, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top.
