Made for: Teachers, Parents, and Homeschool
How it works
- Type the spelling list. One word per line, 5 to 25, exactly as your class learns them. Repeats are flagged with a button to remove them; nothing is changed without you.
- Pick the worksheet. Practice (read it, trace it once, write it twice), a spelling test with numbered lines, a word scramble, ABC order, or the week pack with all four. Choose your grade for the right lines: a dotted midline for K–2, top and bottom lines, or plain lines.
- Download the PDF and print. The button shows how many pages you get; answer keys come last. Print at 100% (“Actual size”) on US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4 [210 × 297 mm] so the lines keep their size. Free, no sign-up, no watermark.
Tips for teachers and parents
- Teachers: the whole week in one download. The week pack gives practice for Monday, the scramble for Tuesday, ABC order for Wednesday and the Friday test, with keys at the back for you or a parent volunteer.
- Teachers: a modified test. Turn on the word bank for students with an IEP or 504 plan: same lines, same list, the words to choose from at the top.
- K–1 teachers: 5/8 in or 3/4 in lines with the dotted midline and five or six short words; the dotted trace follows how children are taught to form each letter.
- Parents: homework that matches the list. Type the words from the folder, print the practice page, then give the test yourself on Thursday night with the key page as your list.
- Homeschoolers: keep the shuffle number with the list to print the same scramble again, or change it for fresh practice of the same words.
Questions
Which handwriting style do the letters use?
A clean school print (ball-and-stick style, with the a and g children are taught to write). Cursive spelling practice is planned.
Can I use my own spelling list from Words Their Way, Fundations or a reading program?
Yes: type or paste any list. The generator never adds or swaps words, so the sheet always matches your program.
How long can a word be?
Any length that fits the line. A long word on big lines is set smaller on the practice page so it fits, and the note under the list says which words that happened to.
Do I need an account?
No. Nothing to sign up for, no watermark and no limit; your list stays in your browser.
