Made for: Teachers, Parents, and Crafters
How it works
- Type your word or pick a set. A word, a name or a short phrase up to 40 characters, or A–Z, a–z or 0–9 for a whole alphabet to color.
- Pick a preset or set the layout yourself. Rows of text, one letter per page (with an optional shadow layer 1/4 in [6 mm] larger) or a banner with one letter per triangle or square pennant. Then the height, from 2 to 8 in [5 to 20 cm] or Biggest, and one of six styles: Round, Chunky, Puffy, Tall, Bubbly or Block.
- Choose the fill, then download and print. Hollow outlines to color, a light tint, a solid color, a pattern (stripes, dots, checks, zigzag, stars, hearts or crosshatch) in one of 16 colors or any color you pick, or rainbow letters. Print at 100% (“Actual size”) on US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4 [210 × 297 mm], so an 8 in letter really measures 8 in. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Tips for bubble letters
- Teachers, bulletin board titles: pick the Bulletin board title preset, print the letters on colored cardstock and the shadow pages on black or a darker color, cut both and glue each letter on its shadow. The same letters come back every year.
- Teachers, an alphabet to color: A–Z at 2 or 3 in gives a letter of the week to color, or a class alphabet line. For writing practice with the same letters, try the letter tracing worksheets.
- Parents, party banners: the Party banner preset puts one letter on each pennant, and the pennants come tinted, patterned or solid in your color (or a rainbow), so the banner needs no coloring. Punch through the two holes and thread a ribbon or string.
- Parents and kids, door names and posters: Door name sets the name as big as one sheet allows; Poster word makes 6 in [15 cm] letters for a school project title.
- Everyone, save ink: outlines use the least, a light tint is the cheapest color, and patterns stay light. Keep solid and rainbow letters for short words, or print them on white cardstock.
- Little hands, easy cutting: Wide spacing leaves room for scissors, and a bold outline is easier for small hands to follow.
